These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your use of the Longbox mobile app and this website (together, "the Service"). By using the Service you agree to these Terms.

1. The Service

Longbox helps you catalog collectible items by photographing them. It identifies items and fills in fields using AI, and may show estimated values and third-party marketplace listings.

2. Identification & value estimates are best-effort

Item identification, grades/conditions, and value estimates are generated automatically and are provided for convenience only. They can be incomplete or wrong. They are not appraisals, professional grading, or financial advice. Do not rely on them for buying, selling, insuring, or valuing items without independent verification.

3. Your content

You keep ownership of the photos and collection data you create. Because Longbox is local-first, that data lives on your device. You grant us only the limited, temporary permission needed to process a photo you submit in order to return an identification result. You are responsible for keeping your own backups.

4. Acceptable use

• Use the Service only for lawful purposes and for your own collection.
• Don't misuse, reverse-engineer, overload, or attempt to disrupt the Service or its providers.
• Don't submit content you don't have the right to submit, or that is unlawful.

5. Subscriptions & purchases

Some features may require a paid subscription or in-app purchase. Billing, renewals, and refunds are handled by the Apple App Store or Google Play under their terms. Subscriptions renew until cancelled; manage or cancel them in your store account settings.

6. Third-party services

The Service integrates third parties (for example, AI providers, marketplace APIs such as eBay, and the app stores). We are not responsible for third-party content, pricing, availability, or terms.

7. Disclaimer & limitation of liability

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, to the fullest extent permitted by law. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Longbox is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or for decisions made in reliance on identifications or value estimates.

8. Changes

We may update the Service and these Terms over time. Continued use after an update means you accept the revised Terms.
